with the flatties been so thick at the moment just wonder wat every ones throwin at them, last year i done real well on the plastics gold atomic grubs and pearl and blue 3inch gulps, but this year the standout for me is the sx40 colour 349 its like pearl and purple with little black marks that you can only see from certain angles i'm on my second one now after my first stoped swimin after a few very hot sessions.

usually use gold/black or
usually use gold/black or mullet pattern squidgy wrigglers for softies, golden boy or fluoro yellow tt blades for metals and last year tried the sx40 in a brown colour which killed the pig! however i do have a personal favourite scorpion 52 in a fluoro orange/yellow colour i bought around 12 years ago which always gets smashed but with that colour being discontinued i only bring it out occasionally in fear of losing it lol! Another producer is the silver manns 5+

I recently got a few 70mm STORM fluttersticks from Singapore
The 40mm and 100mm versions are available here in OZ (although very hard to find) but the 70mm one isn't supplied to the Australian market .
essentially it's a sinking stick bait that has a "walk the dog" type action, and on the pause it flutters slowly down staying almost level as it sinks ..
couldn't believe how well it worked on the flathead the last few sessions.. Just a case of working out the depth your fishing and then "countdown" to get the lure near the bottom... few cranks ...then pause ..etc etc
my experience with flatties is they're not afraid to hit bigger lures ... So go bigger ... Might even give the 100mm ones a crack if I can find some ...
