FCV 295 tranies

Dose any one know it the furuno FCV 295 can take a tm260 1kw trany? This would solve a lot of my mounting problems for my shallow water trani. I know the trani has a plug an the 295 is a hard wired trani set up

on the TM260 tranni, look up airmar furuno TM260 wire colour codes, wire it up so it has a pigtail out of the sounder with the opp plug. I've done this setup with 2 r199 trannies for the FCV 295 so I can remove my sounder out of the boat. If you need more info, send us a PM

cheers

non-diplex tranducer then ?

quote from airmar site " Non-diplexed transducers have separate pairs of conductors for the high and low frequency. It is not possible to use a diplexed transducer with a dual transmission line sounder"

The FCV 295 has separate wago connectors for each frequency and tap settings on the circuit board.

However, if the tranny has a factory plug, then it is more likely to be a diplexed tranny and can't be used with the 295

Hay wangler. I don't have the trany yet. Iv got a separat 1kw 200hz an a 2kw 50hz but mounting on a Ali boat makes it hard. Iv now had plastic blocks in the shape of a transom mounts made to house my old tranys to be transom mounted. Haven't used them yet but I used the same set up on a mates boat an a 585 with a power box an it worked perfect in 420m
