Good times out fish'en
Looks like you spend a bit of time in the Princess Royal harbour and Middleton beach. Head out from the yacht club at Little Grove or Emu Point? Cheers for sharing a few good feeds and mixed bags there.

Pike
I once got chatting to a retired resident at the Cheynes beach caravan park whom he and his wife fish in their boat every possible day. I asked him what his favourite fish to target was of which his reply was "Pike!" I thought he was joking to begin with but started to believe him when said that will drive from spot to spot looking for them. Over a year later a couple of mates and I we're berleying just off Parker point at RI and got into a patch of them, pick handle size. Strange fish, they just take the bait and just sit there with the hook in their mouth until you start to pull them in. I remembered old mates conversation so we decided to keep half a dozen. We gave them a roll in the scaling bag on the way home which helped a bit to remove their slimy scales. Anyhow the fillets came off like steaks and they were surprisingly exceptional eating. I think the key is to eat them the next day when all the stench has been removed from your hand, nasal passages etc.
Well done young fella, we look forward to your next update in 2 months
