Eight men have been charged
Eight men have been charged after the biggest methamphetamine haul in Australian history was seized on a boat intercepted off the West Australian coast near Geraldton.
The Australian Federal Police and its WA Joint Organised Crime Task Force intercepted the boat Valkoista, which was carrying 1.2 tonnes of the drug, 400 kilometres north of Perth about 4:00am yesterday.

gotta say, the drug laws in
gotta say, the drug laws in oz are too leanient . look at the laws in some of the other countries like bali and cambodia. yeah people still try but look at what they face if caught. over here they do their time and then live free while the families of the lives the drugs have stuffed up still suffer . capital punnishment should be reintroduced for people like this. execute 1 to save many. i have no tolerence of this shit i have seen people stuffed up on drugs

I agree with you Russ! Call me an old stick in the mud but drugs in this state are out of control and I would bet that bust is one of only a few detected with many more going through undetected.
This state needs the next state election to be based on crime and how us as law abiding tax payers are F@#ken over what is happening at the moment!.
This is how bad I feel it is, I plan to shore fish a local spot every Friday for the whole of next year, planning to make a diary on doing it. Only problem in the back of my mind is because the spot is remote, how many times will I be robbed or fucked up through theft and vandalism? I shouldn't have to even be thinking that, but I am.
