First Cockburn Sound Baldie

Went out for a quick bash on Thursday. Nothing to write home about but did manage to snag my first metro baldie. Thought it might have been just undersize so back it went. I'm still looking for it's dad.

Yeah not sure it's a baldy

looks a helluva lot like a black spot tusky aka bluebone. He's a bit lost if it is one.

I have seen bsldies whilst whilst diving in the sound though. They are there.

See heaps of similar sized ones in close behind Garden Island and off Point Peron (Western End) while snorkelling, always assumed them to be baby baldies. Never seen mum or dad there though.

Cheers,

 I managed a 20cm one in Freo

I managed a 20cm one in Freo from a tinny, it was very pink / peachey-coloured. My guess is gender or diet, but I really don't know. I reckon it's more bald than tusk.
