Hey Guys,
This is my first post on here and am pretty new to fishing. Went out on my friends boat on Sunday and caught my first silver bream. Tased pretty good with some garlic and butter. Anyway hop you guys like the report.

Umm
there could be a problem here. I'm pretty bloody sure that is a Pink Snapper mate. Regardless of whether or not it's size it is illegal to land/keep/eat a pink snapper during the demersal closure.
might want to do some research between now and the next time you go fishing

Firstly , welcome aboard the site. good to see your opening your account with a pic of a fish, but unfortunately this fish isnt a silver bream , its a juvenile pinkie.i realise you are new to fishing but be careful what you are catching and keeping .
As far as others taking the pi@# out of you , ignore them
. Do your research on what the local species look like , what your allowed to catch and their size limit. Good luck with your fishing in the future and dont hesitate to ask any questions as there are lots of people on here that have plenty of knowledge

I'd be having a word to your mate about identifying fish, its definitely a pinky and if an inspector had pull you over, you , not your mate , would be in deep shit.
Buy a book on identifying fish, Sea Fishes of Southern Australia by Barry Hutchins and Roger Swainston is as good as you can get.
