Was down at the freo warf ( O'conner landing ) yesterday eveing after leaving the North mole with jack squat.
only caught 4 fish, two of these and two yellow tails, smallest fish I have ever caught
can any one tell me what it is please, is it a Rough ? page 66 in the Sea Fishes of Southern Australia

there bulls eyes. see heaps when diving and some times take bait. good for bait, dhuies love them. but not for eating.

cheers guys, there are a few different bulleye's in the book I have.
I was thinking it was a Bronze Bullseye, but as Ryan said Common Bullseye.
"base colour varies from silvery to dark purplish brown ? this is more Gold in colour."
Thanks Ryan, I did try to fish for some flat heads with NO taker's this time round, never mind next time I'll give it a shout around Rocky Bay.

Yeh Karl i was guessing the Common but after looking at the Rough in my ID book it looks like a match!
Rocky Bay would be worth a go for sure & PT Roe....all the best!
