Never tried one though as I agree with others - too pretty to eat. Mind you, personally I've never caught one but was out with my brother one day and he did.
yes you can eat them if you get them big enough. only time we keep them is if they are suffering bad from baratrauma otherwise they go back where they belong. would love to see one of them in their own environment
