Hello all,
My wife pulled this out of 15M of water behind Garden Island yesterday. Its back swimming now, but I was wondering if someone may be able to tell me what it was?

WA blue spotted devil fish (as per my ID book)
They look like a chunky Simease fighting fish on steriods. Dark blue with bright blue spots.
Have caught two in SA off the toe of Yorke Penninsula out on a deep water snapper ground.
Both around 40cm and ate one. was very nice eating. Sweet tasting and not mushy from what I recall (was about 10 years ago). Have also seen one when diving in around 9 metres off metro Adelaide.
Cheers
