Guys
Caught this off Two Rocks on Saturday. To me it is definatley a Red Throat Emperor but a mate was tell me it is a Small Chinaman. If it is a Red Throat does anyone catch many of these in the Metro Area I thought it was pretty unusual for it to be so low. I caught a lot at the Abrolhos and Port Gregory but never down here. Of course this one went back. We also got 1 Dhuie, 2 x Blackarse, 2 x King George Whitiing one going 650mm. I was a pretty slow day did anyone else find it slow on Saturday.
Regards
Glenn

Redthroat I think, certainly
Redthroat I think, certainly not a chinaman. People do get a few up that way, even down to Dunsborough.

redthroat on holidays?
yep , not a chinaman
Wonder if fisheries got hold of one off these now frequent northern
visitors , if they can tell how long its been here?, was it born here, as in eggs drifting south, or if every time
its just baby ones getting swept down with the current. Can they tell by its diet or dna if they actually live here.
And another question are these " visitor" fish included in the west coast and southern bag limits?
As in " just got 2 salmon and a red emp from albany " type of thing! ,, we wish! haha
Still look at the legend on this fourum who got a big sharkie from the cheynes area a few months back
that one still blows me away, Gets my vote for fish of the year so far, ( maybe a new comp moderators?)

Definatly
a Red Throat or Sweetlip Emporer.
This comes up around once a month on here. Yes it's unusual to catch them in the South Western part of WA but not unheard of.
I personally know of a few caught down here including 2 caught offshore from Prevelly (Margaret River) about 10yrs ago.
