Fish Creek
The bloke fell down a cliff at Fish creek and finished up in Manjimup hospital with a broken arm.
Fish creek is east of Windy harbour/Northcliff.There is/was a abalone divers hut built on top of a 60-70 foot high cliff with a pipe ladder going straight down to a narrow beach where he has built a slipway the retrieve his boat and leave it some 6 feet above the beach so in rough weather the surf can flow underneath rhe boat saving him the drive of 30 miles or so to pull it from the water. Most of the area is vertical cliff with a few sand slips allowing access to deep water holes,a fantastic location for fishing but also very dangerous to the un wary

It was a good mate of mine.
It was a good mate of mine. The boys were at fish creek, they actually weren't fishing at the time, just enjoying the view at little too much. He slipped and rolled down the cliff for 20m and then fell a further 15m vertically. One very lucky lad. Thanks to all those involved in the resue team. Hes bruised and battered, sporting a broken wrist.
