Here's hoping they find the missing fishermen off Coral Bay safe and sound, if not a little cold and wet. Let's hope for a good outcome.

Exmouth police and sea rescue volunteers have searched throughout the night for a boat with two people on board that went missing at Ningaloo Reef yesterday.
Witnesses reported seeing flares in the area shortly before 7pm and contacted the police.
Police said officers found a trailer on the beach and witnesses reported a 4m dinghy just outside the reef about 4pm with two people aboard.
Police and rescue volunteers are continuing the search for the vessel this morning.

yep
Yeh, motor issues. They were down at Sandy point, inbetween Winderbandi and Yardie Crk, quite a lot of sanctuary zone down there so they would have had to go out a way to get outside it. Also a lot of people have cleared out so not many people to see a flare down that way. Good thing they let someone know the day they went out.

20 knot south westerlies
20 knot south westerlies in sloppy seas in a 4m dinghy with probably no lights and limited food would have been pretty scary alright. Glad to hear it was a happy ending as well, could easily have ended up differently.
