Fishin deepsea with Bodie, Scano and da girls

Went out fishin 40mile offshore this morning
Looks like im finally gettin my sea legs yay! but then again it was really flat!

On the way out we decided to troll for a bit. Scano hooked up on his rod and brought it in. It was a nice Bonito!

I did pretty well with my first hookup bieng a legal sized snapper!

My second fish was a nanniguy *spelling*

3rd fish was a thumper of a skippy!!!! Check this out!

I hooked something not long after the skippy that kicked very very hard then bit my hooks off. Im thinking a noah

More pics to come soon...

Likewise Marc, yeh good to put another face to the name and i hear what ya saying re  boating. The offshore scene makes life more interesting and opens up more opportunitys....makes my L/B fishing these days more enjoyable also.

I dont think we were quite

Tue, 2008-03-04 07:42

I dont think we were quite 40 mile out, probably 25-30 mile.

But it took a while to get out, so thats why it seemed like a long way.

Problem going out was the swell coming in (It died during the day), and with the girls onboard i didnt want to ma ke it too rough...as it was one got sick :(

Boats a 23ft Razorline

Great photo's Marc, bummer we lost 2 big fish on bust off's im sure one would have been a big Dhu!!

Cant wait to head out there again, lets hope for similar weather

That was an awesome day on

Tue, 2008-03-04 10:00

That was an awesome day on the water!! I warned my mrs that she would get sick and sure enough the moment we stopped bbbbrrrrrooouuuugggghhh. Over the side heaving up like a trooper. I told her that she was fresh out of luck cos it was a long way back in and we didn't come out all this way not to fish. She was pretty cool about it and although i could tell she was pretty crook most of the day she put on a brave face.

Hey Ryan i meant to send you a pm saying thanks alot for all of your help when i came to get that fishing gear off you. You and Honsu run a really great shop there and I know where I will be shopping for my fishing gear in future!! If any of the Fishwrecked members need tackle and reels ect I highly recommend going to Oceanside Tackle, they certainly did the right thing by me.

Bodie, I reckon weather permitting we go and have another crack deep sea again this weekend? I have got the bug and tomorrow nights fishing might have to be a bait collecting effort for saturday morning.
