lookin at goin for a fish this weekend at canning bridge or mindarie chasing some whiting i no there suppose to be easy to catch but can only catch little buggers how do i catch a bigger whiting and is there a difference in fishin them in river and the ocean

I've always gotten bigger ones in the ocean, and generally using lunds squid as well.

I've never fished in the
I've never fished in the rivers for whiting so i cant really help you there.but i've caught them from freo all the way to south of mandurah,there everywhere.as for big ones i catch most of my big shore based whiting around beaches where theres a bit of surf and heaps of sand bars and gutters.secret harbor is one of my hotspots for big whiting. one more tip always use blood worm.its like crack to them lol

cheers mate yer i caught a few little ones at canning bridge thats what got me interested in river whiting but i just want a feed lolz so when you say bloodworms do frozen ones do cause they never worked for me and i dnt no how to catch fresh ones

Good time to beach fish for
Good time to beach fish for the bigger Whiting. I fished for them last weekend and we got some crackers. Long shank Gmakatsu on a paternoster with a spoon sinker. They seem to be in close this time of year.
