Fishing Albany November - February

 Hey guys,

I will be posted in Albany hospital for work in a couple of weeks and will be there for a 3 month stint and am very keen on going fishing there.

I only have a 2wd Camry and love fishing with lures, not so much with bait but I will if it will get me a fish to bite.

I was wondering on where to fish and what's out there from November to End of January. I've been noting that most people fish west of albany at west cape Howe and the steps for yellowtail kingfish and bonito but was wondering if it was 2wd accessible?

Any pointers would be great and would be much appreciated!

Am also a keen rock climber but I've only got a harness and shoes if anyone else is also keen for a climb!

Fish the Kalgan river for Mulloway.

Turn on the tide, fish slabs of mullet or cast big soft plastics and play them back to the shore and you could be in with a shot. Good Video by the chap from IFISH on youtube about it.

West Cape Howe is 4WD Territory

West Cape Howe & the Steps is Rope Tie Down area.

I would only go with someone who has experienced the conditions before.

If there are salmon schools around, then try Salmons Holes. They go well on lures.

Sand Patch is accessible down a lot of steps and across lots of rocks left and right and some small beaches (sand patches) and I've often seen fishers walking up and down casting for Salmon.

Always something to catch there.

Getting up the stairs carrying everything back up is good exercise.
