I'll be giving a load of them a call, Still have exams and stuff to do and I should have my licence before december.  So hopefully I'll have a job before next year!

One of my dad's mates used a right handed overhead, but reels in with his left hand so the reel is upside down and he's winding backwards. One of the funniest thing's you'll see!

Yeh good luck Dean, knock on all doors and see what happens. I've worked on a charter boat before and the money is okay but a good lifestyle for sure. Working your way up can be rewarding and offer you plenty of avenues but if you get a foot in the door and your serious then do the Challenger TAFE courses!

My plans are finish this year at school, and then do 1 year of charter work.  Then off to Tasmania to the Australian Maritime college for a degree in fisheries.

On adverage Ryan or anyone - what sort of money can you expect for a days work?

I'm out of touch now mate but i'd say about $100 plus (ball park) per day, the more certificates you have the more you can get/earn longterm!
