Fishing Charters..what do you want???

Just wondering on your  thoughts of fishing charters out of the metro area. Other than catching heaps of fish....what would you like to see happen on fishing charters, that are not at the moment ! Target different fish..gear ect  cheers

maybe do some sportfishing

maybe do some sportfishing rather than just bottom fishing. Cater for a smaller crew. I know it'll put the price higher up but hey I rather pay $250 than pay $50k to get a boat plus all the hassle of using a boat. One day I will but now I rather jump on somebody else's boat.

It would be interesting to have much smaller charters/charter boats. Not much fun in going out with 15+ lines in the water all getting tangled, not get any fish and have to pay $200

There was a charter that did

There was a charter that did that, max 6 or 8 people, and they went sportfish chasing (i.e. dollies, tuna, macks, etc). They also did a billfish one (less people but more each). I rang them up last dollie season but they said they'd moved to broom due to "crap fishing in recent years" Frown

Winora

Been out on Winora doing just that sort of thing. Max 10 people and chasing Marlin, dollies, Tuna etc. Prices were quite reasonable as well from what I can remember.

Tim...Around how  much did you get charged, for going out for a days fishing, with only ten people onboard? Sounds like a good chater!

Not Sure

Sun, 2009-01-04 15:48

Not sure Wade. Cant really remember as work pays for it. From what I can remember it works out about the same as a normal charter per person.

Has all the game gear on board but didnt have bottom bouncing or jigging gear when we went out.

Heres their website http://www.winora.com/ just give them a call.

Personally, the best small

Sun, 2009-01-04 15:15

Personally, the best small charter I've been on is Allan's Shikari Charter. 8 on board with great gears provided. I've only been on sambo fishing on his charter, not too sure if he does any other game fishing.

It'd be great if there's any other charter doing gamefishing too like mack, tuna etc. Would love to try it one day.
