Daiwa

i would go something like a daiwa black label supercaster

nice and light to throw lures and smallish baits all day, plus plenty of grunt when you need it.

Have a look at the assassin

Have a look at the assassin spin rods, can get them for around $120 on special and worth every cent at that price. Great for flicking lures and baits, 9foot is a good all round length

I second the Assassin spin rods. They crap all over the offerings from diawa, shimano etc
