I went down the week after Rigs trip
I dont think I put anything up, basically burley up and if its an easterly like it was for us there were about a billion sand whiting in the shallows with a couple of 35cm+ numbers in there, herring and gardies. It was really hard to hook the whiting, but really small lookshank hooks with tiny slivers of squid was getting them over time. Herring were caught on chrome twisties and I got a 26cm tailor on a 40 gm raider, my first ever tailor even if it was undersize.
I fished different spots on the beach in the afternoon, and again first thing in the morning, no tailor, rays, sharks, mulloway or anything of note. Good fun in the shallows with light gear for the whiting and herring though. Afew double hookups got the heart racing and I got my mum and dad into a few nice fish too.
I was just chucking out a handful of diced/squashed mulies and a small handfull of chook pellets with tuna oil ever 10-15 mins. Got a wicked glassoff and it was awesome to see the big whiting smash a tiny bait from a metre of my feet.
I think we got about 6-7 whiting and 4-5 herring the first night and the next morning I got 12 whiting and another 4 herring. 3 size crabs were wading in the shallows after I threw in some mulies, walked in with my mask and snorkel and a glove and grabbed em. I saw about 6 but only those three were worth it.

Went down to white hills last
Went down to white hills last weekend while I was staying in mandurah. Was heavily weeded out but there where a few resonable spots that looked fishable. Hopefully the weed has moved on. Good luck and looking forward to see the end result.
