asking for personal stories
asking for personal stories and pics might not get you far mate, but yea there are sharks there like most other beaches. Some sambos as well. Id be trying whole herring or small tailor (preferably live) if after the small to medium sharks. Plenty of other options to ballooning if the wind doesnt work out for ya

id be leaving the herring
id be leaving the herring whole, flap baits are great but I mainly use them if its rays im chasing.
2 snelled hooks (sharp) with the points left sitting VERY proud of the bait. bait this size you can cast depending where your fishing or read up on sliding baits if fishing flat beaches. If you want a bit more smell/blood from the bait cut off the plates covering the gills. Even better just a live herring with a 10/0-11/0 live bait hook through the back.
good luck

Dead
Might be a waste of time heading up for a while because there are mountains of dead fish from Dongara right down as far as Lancelin because of rising water temps and no wind or swell to stirr the water up.
