fishwrecked members helping each other out

thought i would throw this idea out to the fishwrecked members.

We all know that it can be hard to get jobs done around the house or in general these days from tradesman, book keepers or any profession nowdays. Mainly due to the strong W.A economy and everyone being so flat out at work. So I though it might be a good idea if members of the forum listed what they do for work and ways they could help other members out through their company? basically members scratching the back of other members?

I myself work for a Truck Rental company and if anyone needs to hire anything from a 1 tonne ute to an 8 tonne truck then send me a pm and provided we have something available and are not booked out then I could organise a good discount.

just an idea but I am sure it would help a lot of people out as well as maybe building a few more fishing friendships.

Top idea

Mon, 2007-12-17 12:33

Great idea Scano.

In regards to the discount, not sure if other business owners think the same. But I've always been told and thought that 90% of something is always better than 100% of nothing. That little discount can make a big difference in how people spread the word about your business.

All I can offer is website advertising on W.A's best fishing site. Even though this thread will do well as advertising your own business. :)

Apart from that, anyone that is coming up to Exmouth feel free to PM me and we can catch up when you are up here and talk about whats biting around the place.

Cheers,
Adam

Security Alarms

Mon, 2007-12-17 13:42

I own and run my own security alarm buisness so anything you need in security alarms cctv systems etc give me a pm. being a very competetive market I realy only cover south of the river

as the run up to perth is hardly worth it for the rates I charge, as for discount I'm cheap anyway!!but seriously call the other alarm companies then call me for a price.

Finance Broker

Mon, 2007-12-17 14:09

Anything and everything from boats, cars and houses, to equipment finance, commercial and corporate loans, I can arrange it for you.

I guess you could call me pretty experienced with 26 years in finance, (as you all know I am no spring chicken) and certainly from a business loan perspective that can make a big difference.

I usually don't charge my clients, so I can't offer a discount as such, but if I get a referral from a fishwrecked member I can pay them in GPS spots if you like.

Always happy to offer general advice for free.

I run a small stock market

Mon, 2007-12-17 17:52

I run a small stock market research company based in Asia but we are covering Australia now. We only deal in price data because fundamental data is just to much to handle at the moment.
Our system is made for retail traders(mum and dad traders), giving them an edge and more research information for their investing decisions. Lots of black box systems out there.. i ain't one of them.

Basically do all of it myself for Australia, so pm me if you wanna try it out, give you guys a few months free and i'll get some feed back and what i need to improve.

Danny,

There is a story I wrote about a CUB fishing trip I was invited on by Tony in the collumn's section "No Pain no Gain - No Spew no Dhu" it might be a few of your mates were on the same trip. Scary people you beer reps!!!!

You will also note all the pics in my album wearing the red midstrength spray jackets (we have three permanently onboard for the whole crew) they came courtesy of Tony and CUB.

Diesel fuel injection systems and turbocharger mechanic.

Diesel fuel injection and turbocharger mechanic, but also do other aspects such as automotive repairs. Currently working as estimator/scheduler in the construction industry though, don't know if either of these can be of any help to anyone.

And yeah i wasn't joking Ian, paid decent dollars to buy a house in a so called crime free estate / suburb when it bought it, but it only takes a couple of house loads of riff raff to create havoc to the rest of us, i think it's no different anywhere you live these days.

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

Hi

Wed, 2009-07-22 01:47

Im a mechanical fitter and 1st class welder by trade, currently employed on oil rigs as a rig mechanic.

Not much good to you really unless you want to drill for some oil or dig up some iron ore etc haha

nah but if you have any mechanical probs or welding jobs...depending on the job i might be able to help....although i dont enjoy doing that shit on my time off but you know, for a few offshore fishing trips i could get my arm twisted Tongue out.
