Cannot think of anyone who sells flares in Denham, you may have to take a drive up here to get a set

Most locals will be out boating the same time as you if the weather is good and won't lend theirs

Craig's Marine and the blue shed have got new stocks in recently and possible get someone to collect for you

 Depends if you are asking

Sun, 2019-06-30 20:53

Depends if you are asking due to fear of being caught or them not working?
If they are clean dry and look like new, just go, especially if you also still have another expired set.

Only a few years ago ty did not need to be in date and I dont recall failures to be common place

If they are not in good condition, you should look at how you store them.
Getting caught by authorities is a different and personal choice.

Expired Flares.

Mon, 2019-07-01 16:41

Carefull about having an "older" expired set of flares on board. Word is they are hitting hard because of the "fire risk" involved.

If they are "expired"  they don't belong on the boat.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Sorry cobia, i just read this otherwise you could have had my spare set that expires in August, i was up there last week until saturday.

Hope you got hold of some.....

Old flares

Tue, 2019-07-02 07:09

Its only commercial vessels that cannot have out of date flares on board in WA, rec vessels can

Check with Gwenda at DoT here in Carnarvon when you are here, she will tell you same thing

 Over east you cant have

Tue, 2019-07-02 13:50

Over east you cant have them, here they used to say you could keep them if you wanted as spares but that has since been removed Im guessing lest any halfwit has his 20 yr old leaky festering explosives onboard "just in case".
