heading to floreat drain this weekend for a fish and was wondering what its generally like
is there a best time to go or bait to use
also is north or south of drain better

When I was going back to my car on Saturday around 9pm a patrol car drove past and through the car park, so it looks like they are paying a little bit of attention to that spot, which is good.

That wasn't the case when I was there. Absolutely nothing. After the sun set, even the pickers stopped. Few guys paddled bait out and eventually got something, maybe a small ray or a shark.

Not a heap of sharks around that area at the moment but the odd one has been taken.
Try the more reedy areas slightly north or south for more luck.
