Hello all,
Have a quick question on slide baiting rod. Will a penn prevail 13ft 10-15kg spin do the job for slide baiting off the beach for a beginner, any problems I would come against.

Spinning reel isnt as easy
Spinning reel isnt as easy as an overhead, especially with braid but it can be done. I'd recommed you spool it up with braid backing and 120m of mono topshot, especially if you dont have much experience with sliding.
The rod is fine to slide with, make sure you use a good grapnel sinker that isnt going to pull when your bait is going out and also use weighted slides, they can often be the difference between getting your bait through the surf or not.
