Hello everyone
i am looking for a fly fishing rod to use mainly for salmon during salmon season and i was wonder what weight rod should i get?

I would go 9 weight. Good
I would go 9 weight. Good all round rod that you could use for most species including trevally and queenies up north.

9 Weight fly rod
I've got a fly rod around a 9# I'll never use that's all yours for free if you'd like it to have a crack with a fly before spending much money. Built from a Kilwell blank. Not sure if I've got a reel to go with it but I'll have a look if you're interested.

For salmon I use a 8wt and that will cover metro tuna & dolphinfish ....... plus northern species also

Fly Rods
Have a half dozen #3 to #9 I'm about to rebaptise on Coho and Pinks in Vancouver Island rivers... . Still summer here, but both species will be queuing offshore in the river mouths. Thousands of Pinks will probably have headed upstream by now...
