Footy season
Well she's starting to get to the pointy end...
Big game coming up this week with Richmond V Geelong...
Could very well be the game that sets up the top 4...
Danger game for the Eagles this week against the Saints, a game they should win...
Port all but locked into top two and in my opinion the team to beat...
Geelong are flying and one more win will secure top 4 same for the Lions ( unless the Eagles have two big wins )
Richmond can't go to sleep now otherwise the Eagles could relegate them to 5th and a straight sets exit would go down like a lead balloon...
Melbourne still have a glimmer of hope, It looks like they are the only team outside the 8 that could steal a T8 finish...
Collingwoods draw against Richmond could be very handy to slot them inside the 8....

Eagles V Saints is a real shrug of the shoulders this week. Another premiership player out for the Eagles so it will be a low quality scrap. Good luck to the backs.

Not a bad win in average conditions .Recon we can handle Norths Saturday night with the Dogs last being a tough game but winnable.
Been a solid season after a slow start...few games slipping which could have seen a possible top 8 berth.
Justin proving to be good decision with a good young team building, bout fukin time!!! Interested to see what the next few years could bring.

Yeah agree, Walters was bad
Yeah agree, Walters was bad at the start of the year trying to hard and calling for the ball in the wrong places. Hogan has been bad for it to...expecting every ball and to kick all the goals, seem to keep his head up and add extra effort last night with good results.
Seems to have settle a bit now...More an overall team effort which is a must.

Equally as interesting to see how they shape the list over the coming years Brock.
I think they have made good decidions getting rid of Carter and Mcarthy showing they wont put up woth crap.
I wonder how much is left on Jesse contract?
He'd want to sort his shit out otherwise i'd fuck him off too...
They've got to try and not pay overs for good players like perhaps the Eagles did with Mcglovin and Kelly.
Maybe overs is a strong word for the Eagles in regards to Mcglove as he virtually snared them a flag but its a bad look for a club getting held to ransom I reckon.
I can see the Derby being a hot contest in years to come thats forsure...

The Eagles have had a tough run of late
5 games in 19 days has taken its toll with injuries and McGovern will be a big out for them.
A pity they couldn't get over the Dogs the other day, as they could have been right in the mix for the finals, though a home final or two would be a big boost to their chances.
A good win tonight anyway.

Gadsy I think you are
Gadsy I think you are dreaming thinking there will be games back here from here on out...
I know both the Dockers and Eagles offered a large sum of cash to the AFL to try to get the last game of the round back here but from what I understand its not so much getting a game in the West its more about getting teams out of the hub and then back in...
I did hear a scenario they ran on the ABC radio the other day where if Eagles finish 4th and win their first then the prelim might be a chance but I'm thinking more than likely not unless you fellas know something I dont know....
Pretty important for that second chance this year me thunking

Eagles kissed on the dick by the umpires again
Always given bullshit free kicks in the front half
Balls clearely out of bounce, Umpire right on the spot and they allow play to go on to eagles advantage
The whole system is a joke currently,

Must have been watching a different game to me Skull. The umpires have been shit all round this year, you may as well make the fence the boundary so the ball never goes out and then the Afl could save a heap of money not having to pay to feed the boundary umpires guide dogs.

If you
If you don't want to be part of the competition you can leave anytime
Why do you continually refer to VFL?
Go back and watch a few games, take note of where the free kicks are given
As I stated not the amount but where they are given
I will give you an example to get you started because I am like that, try to help others out
A few weeks back a team had 17 tackles in their forward half, not one free kick for holding the ball, incorrect disposal etc
The same game the eagles had 3 tackles (for the entire game) in their forward half resulting in 3 free kicks and 2 goals
It happens every week just take a look.
It is a wonder you haven't started crying about them participating in 5 games in 19 days like some supporters were on talkback radio yesterday
Thankfully you can't whinge about the travel this crazy season,

Port have been so looked after by the AFL for some reason, they’ve played only 15 games or thereabouts at Adelaide oval this year. Only Gold Coast and Brisbane have done better.

Regardless of the fact the Dogs were the better team late in the game a bloke like him ( and there are lots of them ) will whinge and whine that they were robbed instead of realising if the Eagles were better they would have won the game.. Darling had the chance but wasn't good enough but its the umpires fault, or the VFL, or too much travel or too many games in a row or some other whinge...

Interesting way of looking
Interesting way of looking at it Frost, sounds like an anti Freo, Eagles biased opinion to me...
You are not related to Mick ( the dick ) Malthouse by any chance are you?
While I woiuld also suggest Mitchell and Cotchin won by default its not an opinion I would have thought you would have shared...
In my opinion Jobe won the medal and should still have his medal but from your comments regarding Essendon I know you certainly think they cheated so there for its not winning by default...

Not so much bias as it is
Not so much bias as it is grade 1 maths as 26 is more than 25. Fyfe might have secured the votes he needed to win in the missed games but he might have done his ACL too. He might have even grown a vagina and changed his name to Natalie but one thing he didn't do was outpoll Priddis in 2014

Fyfe was easily the best
Fyfe was easily the best player through the year.
Got charged twice by the tribunal, first time was crap, second time nothing to lose and got carried away. Anyone that follows the AFL closely enough with an unbiased opinion will tell you Fyfe didn't deserved to get sighted the first time and should have gone on to win the Charlie.
There is no way the umpiring Dept is going to continue giving a bloke votes when they know they were wrong in the first place...

Yeah Skull I disagree about Cousins,
I bet there aint many players out there that havent at least dabbled in rec drugs so I don't think you can single him out...
Its just unfortunate Benny ended up going down the road he did...
I like the bloke, loved watching him sprint down the wing have a bounce then dob it from 50m...
He changed the way players were viewed as role models, he became bigger than the game especially in the West...
I wish him luck in the future and hope one day he's clean...
