Found the gold

I have now been in Kalgoorlie now for 6 weeks and finally found some gold . (Yeah i cheated) welt along to the tourist mine for something to do and tried my luck at panning. Along with lots of tiny bits of gold you could barely see this one popped out. Now just need a couple of thousand more like it

Moneys not too bad .and its full time not casual which i s a bonus . Along with not putting $120 a week in fuel in my car and not paying for dinner . Biggest downside is no fishing and of course missing Sandy and my pooch/deckhand

I watch the Aussie gold hunters on TV, I’d love to get away with a decent detector to try for gold. Don’t want to get hung up trying to find my fortune, just enough to keep me interested.

Wouldnt mind that myself but a decent detector isnt cheap. The ones on the show range fro 5to 7 k .

Yeah, top of the range Minelab is about 9.5k, so not cheap.

My in laws have a station up in the Murchison, they get prospectors trying to come on all the time. Apparently there is gold about there.
