fourstroke yammi help needed
Gents,
Hoping someone could help me out here or someone has had this happen.... here goes.
Just towed the cat a painful 8 hours to hopetoun, put her into the water today and the water in fuel warning has come on. Turned back towards the ramp and she shut down.
On inspection back at home looks like a have copped some water in the fuel tank/shitty fuel. I cleaned it out cleaned all the filters and the lines, couldn't clean the line that goes from the pump to injector though. Now she just turns over and doesn't fire, plugs look dry.
Thinking you might be able to bleed the injectors or something but might be a bit out of my league. Any idea's would be great, heading back monday and tomorrow will be the only day to get out!!
Cheers.
Tight lines to all :)

there is only three bolts holding the fuel rail on take that off and let all the fuel drain out ,if you look on you tube under cleaning injectors thers a real easy way with a can of
carby clean and a syrnge takes about 5mins to flush your injectors ,I carry the cleaner every where i go now after having 2 months of bad fuel problems , even done it out at sea

Cheers for the replies guys, scott done exactly what you said and that sorted the problem. Didn't have time to reply because we were out fishing!! Your a bloody life saver would not have got out if it wasn't for you!!
Tomcat there was water in the fuel filter/water seperator but it had gone all the way into the fuel rail, when there is too much in there I assume it just overflows?? Will be putting a second water seperator on when we get back to perth.
Cheers

Put one on with the clear
Put one on with the clear bowl and bottom drain, that way you can see how much water is in it and flush it out the bottom.

Keep your inboard tanks at
Keep your inboard tanks at least 1/2 full when storing boat to prevent condensation that causes water in tanks.
