A mate of my brothers in the UK uses this pretty average set up which includes night vision with video recording capabilities"...........stunning bit of fire power

Suppressors legal also in NZ
Suppressors legal also in NZ as well.
.223 is a big gun for foxes, I wouldn’t have thought the range was required in the UK, their laws are quite strict I believe?

Yes what a great thing to see
I wonder how many “ shooters” in this country have had their hearing damaged by quite loud gun generated noise. The arguments about crime using so called silencers to commit crime with guns just doesn’t wash with me

Surprisingly little damage to the foxes
Nice clean kills, have added a photo of his bag for the night, plus one which died after running onto a neighbours property

Good looking setup
Good looking setup forsure...
.223 is a perfect calibre for the fox...
When you say seems like a fancy toy just for foxes Russ, have you taken any notice of the lamb price at the moment?
This isn't a toy, primary production relies on vermin control so why not use whats required...
This bloke might have spent $2000-$3000 on this bit of kit maybe much more but by just shooting these 5 foxes alone he might have saved 20+ lambs being taken ( maybe double that ) in one lambing season, times that by the life of these fuckers then do the math at $150/lamb...
I agree, the laws on suppressors here are pathetic, for government workers in NZ that are required to handle firearms its part of OH&S that suppressors are to be used.
Thanks for posting Sunshine...

Yeah mate, I'm not familiar with restrictions over there.
I imagine it's fairly built up in a lot of areas nowadays.

That is a fairy out dated
That is a fairy out dated set up yukon or pulsar are quite reasonably priced these days nothing wrong with useing a 223 for longer range shots but generally most people are useing the 17HMR these days for foxs especially if you want the pelt

Catchalittle, we used to use
Catchalittle, we used to use a 250 or .17 Rem mostly but my mates old man had one of the most accurate, most fun rifles i've ever shot foxes with, it was the .17 hornet, a necked down 22 hornet...
Deadly out to about 200 mtrs.....
