Foxtel Now

G Day fellas ,ive bought a foxtel now box so i can stream fox sports and watch stan movies. Has anyone else used one of these? first of when i took it home the HDMI cable was rooted ( worked this out after 2hours ,did my head in) took it back was given a replacement cable ,. This time i actually got a menu to come up on the telly , but thats all i got . Continually told me it couldnt connect to the internet although everything else in the house is working fine. Looked at the trouble shooting sites and you have to be a bloody I T expert to get the fricken thing going. After another 3 hrs of no connect am ready to throw the fucker out. Anyone got any short cuts to get this thing going?

It wasn't the smoothest - but chances are they do something and then it all works.

You sound like you have tried hard enough!

I put the internet numbers in manually, I have an iPad, so got the numbers by clicking WIFI in settings and the IP address, the Subnet address and router are all there. Those are the numbers you need to put manually into Foxtel.

I use an X96 mini box and watch most movies on Stremio, I believe you cant load Stremio on the Foxtel box. I have Kodi also but need to do a reinstall as it's to slow.

Chromecast

I use the Foxtel Now app on my phone and then cast it wirelessly to my TV. If you have an older TV that doesn't have ChromeCast built in you can pick up an external one for $50.

 Sounds about normal for me.

Had the same issue with the cable.

Had to manually put in the wifi settings a few times before it worked.

Apps freezes regulary.

Typical Foxtel 2nd rate crap.
