Limewire is shocking for virus / malware ect. The actual program itself installs a few different tracking cookies and crap you can't get rid of. I would never use it.
I use Vuze, its a bit torrent downloader, You download the torrents from piratebay.org can get full series of tv shows, full albums whatever you want really plus sides is there is alot of content havnt not been able to find what i want, havnt picked up a single virus and everything is correctly labelled. Nothing worse spending time downloading something only to find out its something else
for all the people that say"I use X and I haven't got any problems" - the thing is, you probably have no idea but you will be full of viruses and malware that your anti-virus will never find.
Any peer 2 peer program is a haven for sending viruses.
agree with huggy. all limewire ect will have virus's whether you know it or not, and downloading torrents can be risky unless you really know what your doing. The only way i have found is to download a youtube mp3 downloader. all this does is convert the video into a mp3. just copy the video link and paste it into the program, it cant give you any problems and being able to listen to what you download is very handy.
if you want the program i use just tell us. theres heaps out there but the one i use can allow you to download many at a time.
learn to hack and crack p2p and torrents are for people who dont know how to use the internet..
join a few sharing forums,everything is free if you know where to look....and virus and spyware free
emule is a virus in itself,forget all that crap
google is your friend,you just need to learn how to search for what you want.

I dont actually download anything on MY computer, i use the household one as i dont want my computer to be infected, especially when internet banking and what not.
When i want a song, i want it in about 3 seconds i dont want to be spending all day finding it.
P.s ALWAYS keep your antivirus up to date, to the day. and try to have two different ones going incase one has been blocked or gets corrupted. Keep many system restore points and stop downloading porn
Yeah as flangies said, make sure it has plenty of seeds and a good rating. I've been using Limewire and Frostwire for several years, strictly for downloading music and never had a problem. There's no doubt you can get virus on there but I think it's the users fault... don't be silly about what you try downloading.

surf to bit junkie .org and search for what mp3 you want or use other sites that offer bit torrent files
Or use another OS system other than windows like Ubuntu, don't have a problem with viruses then

Lime wire
lime wire was no good for me crashed my computer. Used to use Bearshare as well but after the crash don't use any.
I only use my external hard drive and every one I know share there music, movies etc.
Good luck Mako hope it all works out as I dont want to sound all doom and gloom it's just my preferance not to use them.

totally agree with james, I have been using limewire for years and have downloaded thousands of songs.
if you know what to look for you dont get chronic viruses, any that I get are easily removed if they do occur
and even if there are ones I cant see, they havent affected me, so who rly cares
