fresh herring

I bought and ate some Albany caught frozen herring and loved them, as im fairly new to Perth I was wondering if there was any fish shops that sell them fresh south of the river? ill be char grilling the next batch. judging by the oily and very fishy taste they must make good strip baits as well i guess as they are not as mushi as pilchards?

cant comment on where to buy them, but yes they are a FANTASTIC strip bait, fairly picker resistant etc
theyre super easy to catch and great fun on light gear! Get down to one of the metro jettys (woodmans, kwinana etc), chuck in a handful of berley, and watch the water boil
