Friday 20/8/10

Had a good day on friday, mate just moved from gero and was keen to fish the metro waters. Seabreeze predicted a good day, 4-6 knot winds all day so they said more like 15's gusting to 20's yet AGAIN they got it wrong. Well after getting flogged on the way out it turned out good for pete. He managed to land himself a couple of nice PB dhuie's (10&12kgs)and a nice baldie. All up we managed 3 Dhuie (one released),2 Baldie's all by 11:00, so with the bag limit on board we decided have a look around for some new ground & troll back to see if we could land a few tuna. The lures we in the water for 30sec and bang the first one about 6-7 kgs, then another & another, all up 4 in total (kept 1, 3 released). The wind did back off for a good trip home.

Quality
Congrats to your mate for the PB dhu. A great feeling toppling a PB. A great bag of some quality eating WA fish.

Bar Crusher
Hi teto,
from your pics it looks like you have a Bar Crusher. If that is right what size is it and are you happy with it? Cuz i am currently looking at the new 5 meter series, but I dont know anyone with a Bar Crusher. If you could give me any info would be much appreciated.
Cheers Seb

i have a freind with a 5. something mtr barcrusher, if you wanted to talk to him, he bought it new and has fished with me a few times already, seems to go alright (when he puts fuel in it...ha.ha.ha).
pm me with your number and i will pass it on to him if you want.
i would look at the larger one if the funds are there,, 6mtr plus.
one thing i noted was that it seems to lean over a fair bit when fishing 2-3 bodys of the side, it might be me, cause i am used to my glass boat which is very good at rest.
but nice and light and goes on the trailer with ease, 30knts flat out with a 115 4stroke yammy
cheers ron
