Currently in Mandurah and just passed the local fresh fish shop (opposite the council building). Big sign out the front: Fresh Exmouth crabs here". WTF. You are in one of the best crab locations and you are promoting something hundreds of km away. No wonder your fish is crap and grossly over priced. We now get it from the seafood van about 10km north (at that service station) on our way here each time. Cheap, fresh and local. Happy Easter To All.
Talking to one of the local pros at the Parkridge ramp, he sells in Bunbury as they give the best prices. I was also told most of the crabs sold in Mandurah are from shark bay or imported.
i was in the leprechaun this morning and they are selling big females for $17 a kilo. there were no blueys in the bags all females which is about right for this time of the year.
