Well im in the middle of fitting a new lowrance fuel flow meter in the boat connecting to the global map7200c.
has anyone used this one and can add some pro's and con's.
im hoping they are better than the navman ones which are sooooooooooooo crap, i went thru about 3 of them.
Will be good to know fuel usage again etc, especially on those long distance trips

Fuel Flow action
Instructions for wiring are straight foward either in the manual or off the net (as with all things Lowrance!). A tip with the sender, when installing the unit onto the fuel line, use a sharp knife (such as a Stanley) that doesnt have a serrated edge as this tends to be the main cause of failure with sender units - getting the fine burrs let on the cut faces into the trundel wheel or DP plates. I also found this out thru trial and error - I havent had a problem since neither have any mates (including Navman owners). Hope this helps....

sensors
Matt , check the instructions as i beleive the sensor should be installed either level or pointing upwards, i had a tech service my rig and he pointed it out that i had not installed the sensor correctly.

got the new one installed and wire routed to the gps, now just have to get the instructions out and read them to set it up and make it work lol.

Instructions
Don't read the instructions, just mess around with it until you work it out. After all it is the "male way", that is until the missus reads the instructions and tells you it's all wrong.... :O
Tight lines to all :)
