Furuno 587 settings

Gday ive been playing around with the settings since installing it and im happy with the way it is but just chasing any info on how to improve it even more.It seems compared to other sounder shots i see my gain is set much higher.Transducer is a 600w thru hull.Cheers Nick

what is your tvg set on? if
what is your tvg set on? if its not already set it to medium for shallow water, under 150 m ish, also i noticed your shifting down a long way, in one pic your lookin at less water coloum than your bottom lock screen, i tend to leave 20 metre ish in that screen and look at the bottom 6 in the bottom lock screen.

TVG
I use a shoot through and also have to go to high TVG for water around 50-70m. It may have somethign to do with the shoot thru signal weakening and propigatign slower through the hull (at least that is what I have assumed).

i would turn your gain down 7 and 8 in 35 mts , should only be around 4 to 5
