Furuno or Lowrance networking opinions

Hey guys, thinking of adding another unit to the whittley. I have a Lowrance lcx 27c or similar Gps/sounder combo at the moment and was wondering whether to add a new Furuno 627 or network another Lowrance, say Hds 7/8 combo for a backup sounder aswell. I do take the navionics app and charger on the boat as a fail safe.
Would be great to get some different opinions or advise as Im 50/50 and I havent used Furuno before. Thanks

If you want a good sounder,
If you want a good sounder, go the Furuno, well unless your lowrance supplier is going to give you the sekret settings that make lowrance epikly gewd!
Its not too much trouble to get GPS into into the 627 from the lowrance, but there is no practical way to send it back out again, except by hand.
This means that you can always press the button on the gps when the sounder has a good show, but of you scroll back a little on the sounder and press mark, the mark is only in the sounder, it isn't sent back to the gps. You still get it in the sounder and just have to copy it back by hand.
