FW Members' Comments Produce the Result(s)
In a previous “update” post (http://fishwrecked.com/forum/shore-catch-update), I showed an image of the newly installed graphics on our shop front. I think most people liked them but there were very valid comments about the appearance of the general building and the need to improve what was there. Luckily I had written some special clauses into our lease regarding the building façade.
The Members' input enabled me to stress the importance of the works in a letter of demand where I could actually quote some comments directly. To his credit, the landlord has taken it all on board and the Strata management company will rectify. The image below is of initial painting works but there is still building works to fix damaged soffits, tree removal and/or pruning, pylon sign repair and refurbishment and general garden maintenance. All of this is being done at the moment too! A lot has been achieved due to some well-founded comments from Members, thanks all.
Whilst on Members comments, I really appreciated the knowledgeable stuff that came out of the knife post (http://fishwrecked.com/forum/knife-range-members-input-requested). I got so much value out what was said I could finalise our initial order and it will arrive soon. We can’t hold all stock types, but we can order what anyone really wants.
We will open soon. It has been a large undertaking but set-up is close to completion. Members input has really helped us with the “journey”, and the investment in FW sponsorship (Adam doesn’t delete my commercial type request for information posts) has been money very well spent.

Wow Gardening made a big
Wow Gardening made a big difference for street visability/marketing, hope they keep up the maint for ya (pending shire they prob could have fitted a couple more car bays there).
Ya gunna put some signage up on the facia?
Just a tip if not aware, might be able to get a supplier to cover the costs in exchange for them also adding their details to it, ie a bait, tackle supplier etc (see similar at bottleshops). Even if it only had/promoted them its still attention grabbing for your shop.
Best tip is when reps come in ask-em what they rekon you could do to make the outside of the shop pop, that your thinking signage, lighting etc, would they be interested etc.
Also hit-em up for products (rather than discounts, helps with cashies) in exchange for their merch being included in your promotions/advertisements/marketing etc.
