FishWrecked's Wicked Week - 11/03/2017
From now on, I will include reports from fish that were caught weeks ago but only been posted on FW during the week. We all have busy lives and might not have the chance to post up reports the same day the fish were caught. People spend abit of time posting up and sharing their reports on FW, so therefore they deserve a mention in our FW Wicked Week! Anyway, onwards..!
A summary of the week gone by:
PERTH METRO
For most people, catching a Mulloway is a dream! For Little Johnny, it's ONLY a bycatch!! Report:
Signs must be good if you can still catch 35cm bream around upper Swan! Well down Travisjohn!
Who would've thought... Rankin cod at Rotto! Well done Simo_ for showing us anything is possible! In the near future, Hutch will be popping for GTs at North Mole, whilst Mark (keg) and I will be trolling for Mahi Mahi at Maylands! Awesome!!
After a period of absence, Ryan Thipthorp is back! This time with fellow staff member and decky Ben. The guys had an awesome day out of Two Rocks with big Dhu and big every other fish too!
There's a new fishing technique in town! Newcomer Franko1 trolls for...Dhuies! Yes, you "heard" that right ladies & gentlemen...trolling for Dhuies!! Haha!
Now I understand why theres such things as "seasonal prices" for seafood. Occies are now $200 per kg coz theres none left to be had! Unless of coarse you're Little Johnny who has just cleaned up on the sneaky buggers! Well done on catching the alien looking things!
Ryan Thipthorp loves jigging! Indeed he does, especially when he lands his first ever Blue Groper on jig! Deckies were Ben (again!) and step bro Andy who also had a dhuie good time!
Remember folks, Oceanside Tackle is the place to be for great gear, great price and all things nice! (Ryan, I'll pop by sometime next week to collect the marketing commissions!! Haha).
Well, this is a rare occurance on FW... fishing while sailing! And not just any fish but a 1410mm spaniard!! (In mm sounds longer than in cm. Lol). He came, he saw and he conquered...all within 15mins, which made PJim the Sailor very stoked!
Crays are back on! mjohns easily bagged out while going for a swim. His QA officer (a most beautiful looking Samoyed or Husky or whatever snow dog breed it is!) seems to approve!
There's a first for everything! This week I went out of Mindarie for the first time and also fished with a fellow FW member for the first time! Goal was to help Mark (keg) break his fishless drought. I knew we succeeded when we came back to his house and I overheard his lovely wife say to their daughter: "Your dad got some fish!!" Ahahahaha!
Report (Check out my PB "Dhu"!): http://fishwrecked.com/forum/first-day-mindarie-and-pb-dhuie
COASTAL NORTH & BEYOND
Dodging rain, lightning, pingers having a rave party and numerous cray pots out of Jurien Bay, chinbald and boydy shows us an awesome bag of Baldies, Dhuies and......Mahi Mahi! So its my favourite report of the week!
Must-read report (awesome pics!!): http://fishwrecked.com/forum/midwest-report
Few things are better than taking the family on fishing trips. And what's better than that, is when your kids win first prize in the local fishing comp at Seabird! Well done to Rob b and family!
Report (really enjoyed reading it!): http://fishwrecked.com/forum/last-two-weekends-fishing-seabird
Conditions of comp entry: You must be a nice family with cool kids, You must make yourself known to Andy (sea-kem) and you can't be a "dummer spitter"!
Reporting from Seabird once again (do you ever go anywhere else?? Lol), Sea-kem and son Rory helped a family get into the local fishing comp. Good karma I reckon, because they took out mixed bag prize and Rory ended up winning biggest Dhu prize with a 10.8kg Dhuie! Rory, you're a handsome young man so your mum must be elegent and most regal. Andy certainly ain't!! Haha
Rain, Hail or Shine! Nothing gets in the way of a very determined fisho family from driving up to Kalbarri to participate in the Kalbarri Classic comp! Big John and brother Paul along with Uncle (who's actually Dad, but not my dad! Lol), won numerous awards for their efforts! The spaniards in the pics are absolute crackers! Nice work fisho family!
Report (a very comprehensive report!!): http://fishwrecked.com/forum/further-north-kalbarri-classic
From Lancelin, PJim went jigging on his Hobie and landed a PB 93cm Dhu! He didn't weigh it but we can all imagine what a 93cm Dhu will weigh!
COASTAL SOUTH & BEYOND
Reporting this week, from a few weeks ago, gdupagne travelled far & wide in Albany to show us an awesome mix bag of KG, sandies, queens, blackarses, a gummy and a few others!
Daughter has her day! A big arse-whoopping day! Well done to the daughter of the fisherman named Pedro for taking out 2 wins in the Millard Classic! Awesome Dhuie caught!
INTERSTATE & OVERSEAS
Scuttlebutt battled the "bloody hot heat" over in Cairns to impress us with a PB 11.6kg Red Emperor!
South Africa is not just good for wildlife! Imagine... enjoying some fishing time with lions and shit literally just metres away....!! With balls of steel, Hutch shows us what the local SA fishing scene is all about with large mouth bass, tilapia and local bonefish, all caught on very light gear!
Great report: http://fishwrecked.com/forum/family-trip-sa
NO IDEA WHERE!!
Fishing mikey had a lot of fun showing us a beautiful bream!
EXTRA STUFF!
I never knew freshwater rays existed until thanks to Noxious, I can see how awesome they are, unlike the pesky gear testing nuisance caught out in the ocean! Topic: http://fishwrecked.com/forum/freshwater-stingrays
So there you have it, ladies and gents! Summaries of fishing reports posted by members this week!
(Sorry if I missed out on anyone!)

Cheers guys
Your right about time and effort...
My brain goes into overdrive trying to think of good summaries, especially when the reports are very short! Gives me less "ammo" to play with! Lol
