Hardly.   Cannot sell them on. Because of the lease agreements etc

Also strict construction rules only repairs can be done.

Its more the pro cray fishers that will be affected by these drop kicks.

Personally thr road is a good thing as it has reduced our drive time by at least half when taking boats up there. Don't miss the turkey track or thong fence road at all.

was a joke and referring to the "one camper" comment, may have been a bit subtle for you

I love driving the Indian Ocean Drive, mrs hates it. Always a brief dingdong at the turnoff when heading down

Pretty sad, that we need an operation like that. Soon we will only be allowed (made) to work and watch TV.  The road probably shouldn’t go soo close to there in the first place. It’s an “ecologically sensitive” area as they call it, well let’s build a road straight through there, so any idiot can get there easily. Well done gov.

So a road through is more destructive than a bunch of shacks?

I don’t mind the shacks at all! I wish I had one there. The road just allows the wrong kind of people to get there way too easy. It’s the “one ruins it for everybody” kind of thing. I assume that most of us on this website enjoy 4x4 on the beach, camping, fishing, but it’s either government or d…heads or quite often a combination of the above, who make it hard for us. 100 km from the city is not far enough now to be able to do those things peacefully.

yeh fair call, wish i had one too. I've been up there a couple times for a dive and it's handy being able to get there so easily, but yep, as seems to always be the case, the few ruin it for the many. Improving roads to an area is often the worst thing for it!

Yup sure agree the road

Thu, 2014-01-23 18:14

Yup sure agree the road should not have gone thru it has made easy acces to 2wd cars and now see quite a lot off them at both wedge and grey. Thank fully grey isn't as bad as wedge  as we have a shack there but do occasionally head down to wedge for a drive  and it's a bloody crazy place with the idiots in 2wd drive cars doing snakes on the main beach.

Mine thing I don't understand how there gona close wedge down and only be for the shack owners as there's quite a few bush tracks leading into wedge from the north and south.

Here hopes it's a good weekend up there if anyone is going thru grey come pop in were on the big main corner were the memorial  is

I reckon the idiots were there long before the road.

Still don't agree with red taping the place , but what can you do

By closing Wedge for the weekend it just means the idiot crew will be trying to camp along the coast somewhere else- shifting the problem to someone else.

The bloody usual story

Fri, 2014-01-24 08:12

Stupid actions by a few morons ruin it for the mayority. Before you know it ALL beaches will be closed to 4x4s because of these d*&kheads.
