Tough week for Pelagics, but a few crews seem to find them.
Callums 6.2kg Dolphin Fish on 1kg was an amazing catch for such a young kid. A pending WA and national record. Well done Mystic Knot.

Chose not to go back this year after last years blow out and a few other reasons.
Sure makes me smile when I read about other guys posting fish on 'light' 20lb braid.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Team Killerwatt ended up with a 10-8-5, not a bad result considering the conditions.
A 120kg Blue was top of the list, and the crew did well to land it.

Cold water made it tough.
Cold water made it tough. Day one it was 24 degrees and green soup all the way up to the nose in 400m but by day six, we were travelling up past the rigs to find blue water. Baitfish were bloody hard to find and birds were almost not existent. The fish that were raised were hard to convert. This is where blokes like Eddy do well. His conversion ratio was also low, but he knew where to look, whilst crews like us had to spend hours finding them. On most days, the top blokes were calling in tags whilst we were still under steam looking for the blue water. Quite a few blacks, including ours, were found in green water, but again, the locals knew where, whilst ours was only opportunistic.
