Hi guys just wondering if anyone has any experience with these Garmin echomap Sounders?? Can't find much about them so I'm wondering if it actually works as good as it looks! Fitting on a WaveRunner im setting up for placcy bashs and I like the idea of the overlay to create your own detailed maps of ground you've been over. Cheers in advance for any help or feedback

I have one and am very happy with it . Works a treat. The mapping of the sea bed is a great feature. Excellent value for money. Sidescan function is excellent. Display is sharp.

I concur with squalis. Except
I concur with squalis. Except I haven't tried Quickdraw. How does it cope with the seas and swell out from Perth?

i have only used the mapping function in reasonable conditions less than 1 and a half meters of swell and less than 10 knot winds. Works very well.

I actually bought my echomap from Squalis a few years back. It works very well. I've used the quickdraw a few times for some lumps off Perth. As Squalis says, reasonable conditions and the mapping works well. I changed to the GT51tm transducer from the original GT52 as I started fishing a bit deeper.
