Geraldton

Spent the day in Geraldton today. Got my feet wet at the beach, had a ripper feed at the Archipeligo restaurant, and came back to find some wanker has stolen my spare wheel off the back of my cruiser. Would have had to have a wheel brace and some bolt cutters to remove a lock. Cost me nearly another $500 to replace it as we did before we left.

Sorry to hear that Doc
Some people in this town are low life scumbags. Where was your car parked at the time? No cctv around?

Hey Gadsy, we were parked
Hey Gadsy, we were parked down near the foreshore in a paid parking area. Have sent an email to the local shire but unsure if there was CCTV. It was a Cooper tyre on a black rim. But the upside, they pinched 1 of 2 that were there, so I guess that’s a small bonus.

Hi Russ, yeah I replaced it
Hi Russ, yeah I replaced it with another tyre of the same size, but not same brand. The rim cost near on $300, and it’s not the same, but kind of close. Couldn’t not replace it as we really need 2 spares, We drive into some areas that kill tyres.

Anything not bolted down.
A niebour told me about a friend staying in a van park up there , the park owner came around before dark and told them to lock everything away , folding chairs , table etc ,so they did and went to bed. Next morning they awoke to the news the old couple in the next van had the windscreen levered out of there tow ute!!!!!!

A windscreen? I’ve seen
A windscreen? I’ve seen plenty of stuff nicked, but never a windscreen. We always lock up. Chairs, Cups, cooking utensils all get packed away, where ever we are, we’ve had people try to open up the bins underneath, even when where inside sleeping. They’d have a field day if they got in there, same for our trailer which the cruiser goes into every night and gets locked, unless we are like somewhere where we are now.
