The GF - Who wins
Submitted by timboon on Fri, 2019-09-27 10:32
I'm thinking GWS will win, on paper a better team IMO....
Mummy will go hard,
Risky manouvre playing Picket i think, get Mummy to run through him early and he'll do a Gary Rohan
GWS by 30
Jack Reiwoldt to cry the hardest
Toby for the Norm

I am there !
Screaming for the orange... agree that Mummy will tackle HARD...
I am wary of the lesser name Tigers , and think Edwards may be up for Norm if the Tigers get over the line.
Would love to see the GWS forwards getting some scoreboard pressure on early... much better team on paper than last week... Toby Greene attracts a lot of attention to free up other players in the forward 50m.

Richmond should win
You would expect GWS to be nervous in their first GF and if Richmond come out firing in the first quarter it could be very tough going for the Giants.
Hoping the Giants can hang in there and buck the odds though.

Mummy
With Sam Jacobs likely heading to GWS next year this might well be Mummys last game. If that's the case it might get ugly from the big fella because suspensions don't mean jack shit when your retired!!!

Tigers for the Win..
While I admire the way the AFL Giants have gone about it this finals series they are walking wounded and Tigers had the dream run.
Mummy will get you if he can the big bruiser but right now he's half cooked and as fast as a speared mammoth. Having said that if you stand still or spend too long picking up the ball look out for the human steamroller he may roll through.
Watchout for some free laser eye surgery coming to any Tiger on the bottom of a pack..
Bachar "Prayer Mat" Houli to get the Norm Smith with 30 touches , most metres gained and most excited rambling interview after the game. Daniel Rioli to kick 2 or more as he's let of the chain a bit by the Giants covering other more dangerous Tiger mids heavily with De Boar and Tomlinson etc..
Put a few sheckles on the young West Aussie Picket to live the dream and get the Norm Smith also in his first AFL game (Will have to buy a "Miracles Happen" bumper sticker if that gets up but at $41 it would be worth the shame of that bumper sticker and the queer looks pulling up at the Karratha Shopping Centre..)
Enjoy the game everyone,
Disco.

I'm not sure we have to
I'm not sure we have to bring Houlis beliefs into this.
He seems an incredibly humble person and I found his interview the other day really refreshing.
Speaking like a fella that loves his sport and club for the right reasons.
He should've won the Norm Smith last time Richmond won the GF.

No offense meant..
Love watching him play and seems like a top bloke, only mentioned the "prayer mat" because they installed a special room with prayer mats at the G a few years ago just for Baccar and now the other slowly growing list of muslim footy players..
As someone who doesnt take much seriously I say each to his own, but religion doesnt exempt anyone from getting sledged..

I was unaware of the room at the G.
No offence taken, I don't like religion myself.
I just kinda feel a little sorry for the good ones that follow Islam nowadays.

No problems..
I get what you mean re: getting tarred by a certain brush just because of your beliefs and find that un-Australian for lack of a better word when all that should matter is if you are a good bloke or not.
Bachar was actually the part time multi cultural ambassador for the AFL at the time and think the concern was that muslims were praying in the car park so he started a campaign for most venues to have them for spectators as well and I think they are everywhere now so good on him - doesnt bother anyone so shouldn't matter.
Me personally i never pray at the footy.. Excluding certain moments of a close game in the last quarter but I think thats generally more blashphemy than prayer..
And to prove my multi-cultural attitude, I actually have Bachar - In a Multi .. For 30 touches..
Cheers,
Disco.

Few bets..
I know GF is always different and often a lot tighter but at $3 for Bachar's 30 touches is good odds - he got 32 again last week and has recorded 30+ for 5 of Tigers last 6 games at the G.
One wide multi - Houli for 30, Dusty and Rioli for 2 goals each and the young bloke Picket for a goal @ $41 odds.
Skinnier (IMO) Bachar to get 25, Rioli for a goal and Dusty and Toby for 2 goals each @ $15.50 odds.
And 2 days ago got Houli for Norm Smith @$11 odds and small one on Picket for first game/NS fairytale @$41 odds - both have shortened to $10 and $36 respectively.
Good luck.

Whitfield most possies 1st
Whitfield most possies 1st 1/4, Richmond and first goal between 1:01-2:00 for $41.
Also got Cantstandya 1st goal for $18 and a Basher normy for $10.
Just spread $20 across a few randoms and I've lost every GF bet for the last 5 years bar WCE win last year so don't put money on any of the above.

Nice spread..
Very specific first multi but great odds - Whitfield always up there in top possesion getters just got to get the first goal timing go your way..
Ive just realised I've got Houli in just about every bet so there is no doubt in my mind he will probably suffer a leg injury in the first 2 minutes...... Sorry Bachar..

Thank fark for Paul Kelly. I need to get out more, who were those first two squeezers in the Pre-Game entertainment?
Couldn't give two rats for who wins today. Close one with a bit of biff will do me.

This is fucking bullshit umpiring i'm fucking off these cunts....
Mummy gets Soldo holding the ball, not paid clearance Rioli goal...
Davis push in the side - Reiwoldt goal
Picket stone cold holding ball as didnt get hands to it not called then Thomlinson is caught on the boundary trying to keep it in and is called then its a Lynch mark Goal...
18 points directly resulting in either non paid or paid frees all going the Tigers way
Ray the stupid cunt should not be umpiring a GF!!

No outrage last week when the umps swallowed the whistles as the Pies were surging.

I have absolutely no issues
I have absolutely no issues with the umps swallowing their whistles thats why Ray Chamberlin shouldnt be umpiring.
I much prefer games when you dont notice them...
My point is you cant not pay one then pay soft onesthe other way, the two that were paid one to Jack and then the one that resulted in the Lynch goal SHOULD NOT have been paid...
Ray thinks he is in for a chance of the Norm Smith

Swallowing
The only issue I have with the swallowing of the whistle is all the ticky touchwood ones they pay in the first three quarters. Pay them all game or don't.

The Tiges are killing them
The Tiges are killing them and that will be the story but take the 3 goals away early and the Giants wouldve had half a chance...
Paying a shit free kick in front of goal in a GF is NOT acceptable
While i like Reiwoldt as a bloke i fucking hate blokes staging,

Snuck out for an early fish
Snuck out for an early fish before the game, couple of nice threadies. cubed up and seasoned for a heap of tasty lolipops to enjoy during the game. Beer and food was awesome shame about the game, one sided and lacking any decent biff from mummy. Well done tiges, GWS will be better for the experience.
