I was told that you have to be careful in the swan up near canning bridge because of Kelly's tat apparently sting very badly. ? Not having experienced them in Tasmania I was wondering how to recognise them an deal with any stings.

Not sure on the jf you're
Not sure on the jf you're talking about mate but I've been wading for flatties in the Canning for a few years mate and never had a sting so I wouldn't worry about it.

Was paddle boarding just
Was paddle boarding just north of the raffles on Friday night and heaps of jellyfish, and two different types. The usual brown ones you see around the swan, and some clear, almost white, ones. Not sure if these are the Kelly's tat ones, but definitely not what I usually see. Also about half the size of the brown ones. Saw a good flattie there too!!

Translate
I'll have a go at translating tassy speak, I reckon Kelly's tat really is 'Jellys that'.
BTW tassy, are you related to petermac?

Well if your up north at the moment, the irikanji's are everywhere. Lots of people ending up in hospital and a few on the RFDS.

The only ones I know of
The only ones I know of around Perth that sting people are called 'stingers'. They are small, their body is about an inch long and pretty much transparent so it can be hard to see them. Their sting will give you a bit of a rash but nothing serious.
They look like this:
