So you are looking for 300+
So you are looking for 300+ tailor to take up north???
Good luck with fishing up there, hope you bag out.
Not sure if this applies: Would be happy to be corrected (actually taken out of the 2009 book but sure it may still apply to the 2012 book)
Finfish possession limits
(FRMA S51, FRMR Part 4, Division 3)
The maximum quantity of finfish – either whole or in pieces – that
you may have in your possession (control/ownership) in WA is:
• 20 kg of fillets of fish; or
• 10 kg of fillets of fish and one day’s bag limit of whole fish
or fish trunks; or
• Two days’ bag limit of whole fish or fish trunks.
! NOTE: These limits now apply throughout WA, including
permanent places of residence. The following baitfish are
not included in the finfish possession limit: hardyheads
(Atherinidae), sardines/pilchards (Clupeidae), whitebait
(Engraulidae), garfish (Hemirhamphidae) and mullet
(Mugilida). Commercially purchased fish are not included,
but you may be asked for proof of purchase.
Special rules apply in the Abrolhos Islands Fish Habitat
Protection Area (see marine conservation areas).
Some species may have a specific possession limit (see bag
and size limit tables).

Sherbs is looking to take tailor between 300 - 350mm up north.
Sherbs knows what's what with regard to fisheries regulations.

Tailor
I think Michael may have misinterpreted what herbie said. Yep he wants a few just sized ones for baits etc, seeing as there are 5 of us going we can take a few and aware of the limit.
Herbie knows the regs.

I think the point he was making
is the 2days bag limit of whole fish in your possesion which would be 16 tailor each for bait and you have done your limit

Hi Sherbs,Sincere apologies,
Hi Sherbs,
Sincere apologies, I totally mis-read your post. I actually thought you wanted 300-350 tailor and not 300-350mm long tailor. Totally my error.
Once again my apologies.

Tailor as bait
Sherbie - do you just freeze em whole, thaw and use or do you salt em considering they go mushy after long freezing?
