Good places to fish with kids NOR?
Submitted by Pob on Thu, 2012-05-24 12:29
Just looking for some ideas of where to take the kids this saturday. I usually take them to Port Kennedy or Woodmans Point, but want to try somewhere north of the river, was thinking Yanchep lagoon, but having never fished there I dont really know. Have 4 under 10, so I get a bit limited on places which keep them happy and me not too paranoid!
Cheers, Paul.

recommendation
Yanchep lagoon is OK but strong current coming over the reef.
Burns Beach - Some good spots but a lot of reef.
Quinns Beach - anywhere along Quinns is good with good access/parking.
Club Capricorn - another good spot with reef 100mtr offshore - chance of tailor
all these spot will hold whiting/herring during the day. Early morning/evening chance of tailor.
Mindarie marina has a good boardwalk on the westside. a lot of families where there on mother day.

pinnaroo point or sorrento beach close to hilaarys, should pick up some herring/whiting, nice n sandy, and safe enough.
