Good run out

Good run out yesterday saw us near Direction bank and scoping out some new ground. lovely day on the water ,happy with the results and not getting smacked about in a chop for once.

Few Crays still about, so happy for that to top the bag off.

Sorry to hear that Dave, I've been suffering with either a pinched nerve or busitis in my left shoulder which have given me major grief the last couple of months, actually making me ill. Hope you get on the water soon mate, the best is yet to come.

Thanks Andy. I fully ruptured a rotator cuff tendon and tore ligamements and the AC joint. Fucked was how it was described to me! Weight got away from me in the gym. Old enough to know better. Sling comes off this week so hopefully I'm able to get boating soon.

Nice haul Andy. I Worked my arse off for couple baldies and black arse. Lost what I suspect a good dhuie and caught quite few undersized dhus and pinks. All of which I wound up super slow and all released very well. So many small dhus out of Mindarie / two rocks good to see but gets annoying aswel. Wanted to get my bro in law one. But oh well beautiful day on water

Was a glamour run out, with the great coditions i pushed the ski out a little wider than usual. Unfortunately i couldn't find the baldies tho so im a little envious of your bag. What did the damage baits or artificial? I need to step my baldy hunting game up.

I always run a light bottom

Sun, 2021-01-10 19:47

I always run a light bottom rig with ganged Mulies Rob, Baldies love em. They are such a finicky fish to catch as they attack bit by bit before going for the hit most times. Always find them on the hard flat coral.

I was using a Vexed bottom meat for a bit getting hits but switched over to just bait in the end, the deckie got the Dhuie on Squid.
