Hi Woody

Tue, 2012-08-07 22:03

I always vac pack my fish, some bait, the meat at home and other stuff as well. We sell a machine called the Evapac cryovac that is excellent for constant packing. No need to stop in between seels to let it cool down unlike some other brands. There is a two year warranty and we also sell heavy duty bags to go with it.

The machine sells for $220.00 at the moment

Boxes of bags com in small 100 and medium 50.

Both sizes are $37.50 per box.

I have tested this machine for the past four and a half years with no faults what ever. I still use the same one i started with. It has a safe  feature that protects the element if there is too much moisture.

Let me know if you would like a demo. Otherwise i am sure there is a few guys on the site who have them and can provide you with some feedback.

It is easy to use, powerful and reliable.

Hear from you soon.

Regards

Dave

PM sent.

The machines can be picked up in South Perth or Mt Lawley. If you are up North or in the Country, even over East, it is an easy item to post. Postage on the machine is $12.00.

Speak soon.

I got a maxkon from ebay, was about $70 with a heap of bags.  I have used it every week for over a year now and it works perfectly.

Dont buy pre cut bags.  Get the rolls where you can cut them to the length you want.  Works out heaps cheaper and is handy if you wanna freeze a whole large fillet, or even if you only wanna freeze a small item (eg 1 squid tube)

Hi pale ale

The pre cut bags versus the rolls is a personal thing i have found. Some like the bags, some the rolls. I know of a few people who have changed to pre sized bags. They have come down in price and are well sized. Our smallest bag is 20cm/30cm. I fit up to a kilo of fish in this size. All bags can be cut to size if you need a smaller one. The medium bag we sell is twice the size of the small one. So personal preference on the rolls or bags.

Cheers

Dave

I have both the evapac & the sunbeam; the evapac hands down kicks the arse of the sunbeam in all areas (suction, sealing & not overheating). Been caught out a few times pulling a packet of fish out the deep freeze & the seal is gone, evapac all the way

Evapac

Thu, 2016-01-28 12:53

Can't go wrong with the Evapac, mine has never missed a beat and never overheats. Oceanside offers a discount to FW members.

I have a Sunbeam also (was my first one), it continually overheats and makes vacc-packing fish a real chore.

We have run our for over 6 hrs straight after Super Deep Days bagging out and sealing mass fillets and have had no problem with over heating what so ever definately worth the extra coin . Plus you get your F/W discount to. Cheers
