Was talking about this
Was talking about this today.
Do boats have to come to bunbury for scrutineering before launching?
If not will see if Clint is interested.
Launching in bunno with 300 other people would be a major hassle!!! Would be better if we could launch from peppy or Busso and not have to come to bunbury for scrutineering.

All boats are required to
All boats are required to call through the checkpoint in the morning to check all safety gear and make sure eskys arent already full
For boats that are perminantly moored they can apply for an exemption but for that kind of info your best to give peter a call

The comp went farily well on
The comp went farily well on the weekend, the weather was a bit touch and go meaning quite a few people left it too late to enter but still a good turnout of 221 boats.
The winds were up in the morning blowing a stiff NW to around 20knots against a SW swell between 1.5 to 2mtrs so it was pretty hairy to say the least but around lunch time it calmed right down turning into a awsome day.
When i get my hands on the offical stats and anglers ill post them up but here's a few off the top of my head
Biggest Dhuie around 18.7 kg
Snapper 14ish kg
Shark (gummy) 24kg
Q,Snapper 7.5ish kg
Herring .300grm
Skippy .900grm
Blackarse 2.5kg i think
Whiting 1.4kg "
And Flathead 2.65kg which we won $1000 For
It was a hard earned Grand for us in the end, We broke down about 18 mile of with a buggered starter motor on the inboard.
Got towed about 10 miles in and flagged down another boat that came in from behind us, i jumped ship with the fish to have them tell me they might not have enough fuel to get back in!
Flat chat all the way with the cut off time at the weigh in being 6pm
My feet touched the jetty at 5:55pm so with only 5mins to spare i racedinto line weighed in the fish and beat the biggest flathead so far and for the comp by half a kilo making us three very happy chaps..
The end (well then we got pissed)
